A 7-year-old girl, identified as A, was involved in a drowning accident at a water park in Wanju-gun, Jeollabuk-do, around 1:00 p.m. yesterday (July 7).

Safety personnel rescued the girl, who was found floating in the water in cardiac arrest, and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

The girl was subsequently transported to a hospital with restored spontaneous circulation, where she is currently receiving treatment.

Police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
