The Jeju Provincial Police Agency announced today (July 7) that it has booked two individuals, a daycare teacher and a bus driver, on charges of violating the Child Welfare Act for leaving a 4-year-old child unattended inside a school bus.
They are accused of leaving the 4-year-old child in the daycare bus for approximately 45 minutes during the day on June 15.
The child was discovered and rescued by a security guard who was passing by the vehicle.
It is reported that the two individuals stated they were helping children disembark from the bus but were unaware that the child had fallen asleep and remained inside the vehicle.
