Rain is expected across most parts of the country until this morning.

In particular, heavy and intense rain is forecast for the central regions during the morning commute.

Currently, 10 to 30 mm of rain per hour is falling, mainly in western areas, including Seoul.

The rain clouds are expected to move rapidly toward the northeast.

The expected precipitation for today (July 7) is over 80 mm in northern Gyeonggi and northern Gangwon, 20 to 60 mm in other central regions, and around 5 to 40 mm in the eastern coastal areas of Gangwon and southern regions.

In the afternoon, scattered showers of 5 to 40 mm are expected in most areas.

Meanwhile, today is Soseo, one of the 24 solar terms, and heatwave advisories are in effect, primarily for eastern regions amid the sweltering heat.

Overnight, temperatures in Seoul and various inland areas may remain above 25°C (77°F), leading to the possibility of tropical nights.

With a daytime high of 30°C (86°F) in Seoul, it will be hot again today.

Heavy rain is also forecast nationwide for tomorrow and the day after.
