The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) announced that a magnitude 2.1 earthquake occurred 13 km northeast of Gimcheon, Gyeongbuk, at 8:57:24 p.m. today (July 6).

The epicenter is located at 36.23 degrees north latitude and 128.20 degrees east longitude, with a focal depth of 9 km.

The KMA stated, "People in the vicinity of the earthquake may feel tremors. Please take caution for your safety."
