Police have launched an investigation after a radiographer working at a general hospital in the Jeonbuk region was found dead, following reports of harassment by colleagues.

According to the Gunsan Police Station and other authorities on Monday (July 6), the radiographer, identified as A, was found dead in a flower bed at an apartment complex in Gunsan on June 29.

A, a woman in her 20s, had begun working at the hospital as a contract employee early last month. No suicide note was found at the scene.

A's family stated, "We were told that our cousin had shed tears in front of the shoe rack two days prior, saying, 'I don't want to go to work.'" They added, "When she did not show up for work, the police searched the area around the apartment and discovered her body."

The family further stated, "We heard she had also told her friends that she was struggling," adding, "We are considering legal action after gathering relevant testimonies."

An official from the hospital explained, "As this tragic incident has occurred, we have requested an external labor attorney to verify the facts for an objective investigation."

The official added, "We are currently interviewing those who worked with A."

The police are also verifying the details of the case.
