Lee Jung-hoo of the San Francisco Giants dramatically extended his hitting streak to four games with a two-out hit in the ninth inning.

Lee started as the fifth batter and right fielder in the 2026 Major League Baseball (MLB) regular season away game against the Colorado Rockies, held today at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado, finishing the game with one hit in five at-bats.

Following today's game, Lee's batting average dipped slightly to .315 (97 hits in 307 at-bats).

After grounding out in the second, fourth, and fifth innings and flying out in the seventh, Lee faced his final at-bat in the ninth inning with two outs and no runners on base, with his team trailing 6-7.

He delivered a clean single to center field against Jordan Romano, giving his team a final chance before being replaced by pinch runner Jonah Cox.

Although Cox successfully stole second base, Willy Adames struck out swinging, and the San Francisco Giants ultimately fell 6-7.

San Francisco had taken an early lead behind two home runs from Rafael Devers, but allowed a comeback after surrendering a three-run homer to Kyle Karros in the bottom of the eighth inning.

With today's loss, San Francisco's lead over the Colorado Rockies, the last-place team in the National League West, has narrowed to one game.

Meanwhile, Song Sung-mun of the San Diego Padres played a pivotal role on both offense and defense to help his team snap an eight-game losing streak.

Song started as the eighth batter and second baseman in the game against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California. He recorded one hit in three at-bats, drew one walk, scored one run, and stole two bases.

With this performance, Song's season batting average rose to .239 (16 hits in 67 at-bats), and he successfully recorded his 8th and 9th stolen bases of the season.

After flying out in the third and fifth innings, Song drew a leadoff walk in the top of the seventh with his team leading 1-0 and subsequently stole second base.

He then scored his 10th run of the season following consecutive singles by Luis Campusano and Fernando Tatis Jr.

In the top of the eighth, he reached base on a surprise bunt single with one out and stole second base again.

Defensively, he turned a clean double play in the bottom of the fourth after fielding a potential base hit from Freddie Freeman with no outs and a runner on first. He also made a highlight-reel defensive play on another ball hit by Freeman in the bottom of the eighth.

Led by Song's performance and a three-run home run by Manny Machado, the San Diego Padres defeated the Dodgers 5-2, ending their eight-game losing streak.
