Police have launched an investigation after the body of a woman was discovered in a reservoir in Namwon, North Jeolla Province.

According to the Namwon Police Station and other authorities on Monday (July 6), a report was received at 2:23 p.m. the previous day stating that a body was floating in Dochon Reservoir in Bojeol-myeon, Namwon.

Fire authorities and police arrived at the scene and recovered the decomposed body of the woman.

The police plan to identify the body and determine the circumstances of the death through an autopsy by the National Forensic Service.
