Singer G-Dragon has been appointed as an honorary ambassador for the UNESCO World Heritage Committee, which will be held in Busan this month.

G-Dragon plans to contribute to campaign activities aimed at protecting world heritage sites.

The Korea Heritage Service recently explained that G-Dragon has exerted global influence not only in K-pop but across culture and arts as a whole, and is taking the lead in addressing social issues and spreading public interest culture through art.

The agency further emphasized that he is the ideal partner to promote the significance of the World Heritage Committee, which is set to take place in Busan on July 19.

G-Dragon stated that world heritage is a common asset that all of humanity must protect together, adding that he wishes to deliver a message of peace that many people can empathize with and join in.
