Today, Sunday, July 5, monsoon rain is expected across the country.

Currently, rain is falling at a rate of 10 to 20mm per hour in parts of southern Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, North Jeolla, and North Gyeongsang provinces.

The expected rainfall for today is up to 60mm in most regions, including Seoul, up to 80mm near the southern coast, and more than 150mm in mountainous areas of Jeju Island through tomorrow.

The rain is expected to remain in a lull in many areas until this morning.

However, please be cautious as there will be times when rain falls heavily at a rate of 20 to 30mm per hour.

Skies across the country will be mostly cloudy today.

While a heat wave advisory is in effect for some areas in Andong, North Gyeongsang Province, temperatures in most regions are currently above 20°C (68°F).

Daytime highs will reach 30°C (86°F) in Seoul and Chuncheon, and 27°C (81°F) in Daejeon, Gwangju, and Changwon. Due to high humidity, the perceived temperature will be 1 to 2 degrees higher than these readings.

Rain is forecast across the country until Tuesday, and there is a forecast for rain, mainly in the central region, for the middle of next week.
