At midnight on June 29, an unbelievable scene unfolded in front of a church in Daejeon's Daeheung-dong. A truck had crashed into a roadside tree, but instead of stopping, the driver continued to press the accelerator for over five minutes.

As the sound of the impact echoed repeatedly, the wheels kept spinning in place, and smoke began to rise from the tires. A citizen who heard the strange noise checked outside, realized the severity of the situation, and immediately reported it to the police.

Police and firefighters arrived at the scene, opened the vehicle door to check on the driver's condition, and safely rescued the driver from the vehicle. We captured the tense scene from that night, which could have easily escalated into a much larger accident.
