Actor Choi Hyun-wook praised the unique gaze of actor Park Ji-hoon, his co-star in the Weak Hero series, while showcasing their strong friendship.

During a press interview for the Netflix series The Boy in the Last Row held at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, on July 2, Choi expressed his affection for his previous work, the Weak Hero series, and shared his admiration for his colleague Park Ji-hoon.

Regarding the production of a third season of Weak Hero, which many fans are eagerly awaiting, Choi shared his thoughts, saying, "If the environment and conditions allow, I would love to do it. However, rather than just my opinion, it is a matter that requires various conditions to be met, and it also depends on the schedules of the director and other actors, so I am cautious about speaking on it yet."

Choi also revealed that he maintains a close friendship with Park, saying, "I still keep in touch with actor Park Ji-hoon from time to time. Although I don't see him often because he is so busy these days."

In particular, Choi added, "Actually, I was the first one to say that his eyes were really great back when we were filming Weak Hero," and jokingly added, "Whenever someone else praises his eyes later on, I playfully boast, 'I was the first to recognize those eyes,'" creating a heartwarming atmosphere.

He continued to express his admiration while watching Park's successful streak, from the film The Man Who Lives with the King to the TVING drama The Legend of the Mess Sergeant. Choi said, "Watching The Man Who Lives with the King, it felt different again. I found myself thinking, 'That brother has that kind of look in his eyes, too,'" and added, "His eyes are truly like jewels. His gaze is so deep and really great," giving a thumbs up to his colleague and friend, Park.

Meanwhile, The Boy in the Last Row, starring Choi, is a suspense drama that depicts the story of Heo Mun-o (played by Choi Min-sik), a failed writer and professor of Korean literature, who discovers the genius of a boy named Lee Kang (played by Choi Hyun-wook) sitting in the last row of his lecture hall and becomes obsessed with his writing. Choi plays the role of Lee Kang, a university student who appears to be a pure student with exceptional talent for writing but gradually creates cracks in Professor Heo Mun-o's life, driving the tension of the drama.

The six-part drama The Boy in the Last Row, based on the play of the same name by Spanish playwright Juan Mayorga, was released in its entirety on Netflix worldwide on June 26.
