At least five people were killed and 15 others injured in a suspected terrorist explosion at a cafe in the center of the Syrian capital, Damascus, Syrian state television reported on July 2, local time.

According to the report, a pre-installed bomb detonated at a cafe located near a courthouse in central Damascus.

The cafe was reportedly crowded with people at the time of the incident.
