At 11:29 a.m. today (July 2), emergency services received a report of a stabbing incident at a hair salon in Gohyeon-dong, Geoje, South Gyeongsang Province.

A woman in her 30s sustained serious injuries, and a man in his 40s was also injured; both were transported to a hospital.

It is reported that after being stabbed, the victims had evacuated to an area near the salon.

Police arrested a man in his 80s, identified as A, at the scene on charges of attempted murder.

A is currently undergoing medical examination at a hospital, as it is suspected that he ingested poison after committing the crime.

The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.
