Jaylen Brown, a core player for the 2024 NBA champion Boston Celtics, is moving to the Philadelphia 76ers.
The AP and AFP reported on July 2 (KST) that Boston has completed a major trade, sending guard Brown to Philadelphia in exchange for Paul George and draft picks.
During his 10 seasons with Boston, Brown was selected as an All-Star five times and led the team to an NBA Finals victory in 2024, where he was named the NBA Finals Most Valuable Player (MVP).
Brown formed one of the NBA's best "one-two punches" alongside Jayson Tatum, but he carried a heavy burden alone last season following Tatum's Achilles tendon injury in 2025.
Brown recently expressed his disappointment after learning that Boston had included him in trade discussions to acquire Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Starting with the 2026-2027 season, Brown will now join forces with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey in Philadelphia.
