A fire broke out in a storage room on the first basement floor of an apartment golf range building in Sinnae-dong, Jungnang-gu, Seoul, at approximately 6:27 p.m. today (July 1).

Fire authorities deployed 67 personnel and 24 vehicles, bringing the main blaze under control in about 40 minutes by 7:09 p.m. and fully extinguishing the fire at 7:54 p.m.

There were no injuries reported, but 8 people inside the building evacuated on their own.

Fire authorities believe the fire started due to electrical causes involving equipment and supplies stored in the room, and they are currently investigating the exact cause of the fire and the extent of property damage.
