Singer Kim Gun-mo is set to resume his full-scale activities with the release of a new song for the first time in 10 years.
Kim will release his new single, 'Where Are You Heading,' on various online music platforms at 6:00 PM today. This marks his first official new track since his 25th-anniversary album '50' in 2016.
'Where Are You Heading' is a remake of the title track from singer Jeon Young's first album, released in 1977. While maintaining the lyrical melody of the original, the song features a minimalist arrangement with reduced instrumentation, highlighting Kim's signature plain yet profound vocals.

The most notable change in this new track is that Kim played the acoustic guitar himself while singing for the first time. Having been beloved for his image as a pianist, he has attempted a new musical transformation by choosing the guitar over the piano for this project.
According to his agency, this song is one that Kim has practiced and sung the most while playing the guitar over a long period, naturally incorporating the autobiographical meaning of the time he spent comforting and encouraging himself.
It is reported that the original songwriters, composer Lee Hyun-seop and lyricist Lee Kyung-mi, expressed their delight regarding this remake, stating, "It feels like receiving an unexpected gift."
"As this is the first song where I have sung while playing the guitar, I hope it serves as an opportunity to show a new side of Kim Gun-mo to many people," Kim said. "I am grateful to those who have waited for a long time."
Previously, Kim proved his enduring ticket power by selling out all seats for his '2025-2026 Kim Gun-mo Live Tour,' which took place over the last six months.
Kim Gun-mo's new single, 'Where Are You Heading,' will be available on various online music platforms starting at 6:00 PM today.
