
The Disney and Pixar animated film Toy Story 5 has maintained its spot at number one at the box office for 14 consecutive days, surpassing 1.7 million viewers nationwide.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie theater tickets on July 1, Toy Story 5 drew 42,011 viewers across the country on June 30, successfully defending its top position. The cumulative number of viewers stands at 1,700,047.
Since its release on June 17, Toy Story 5 has not relinquished the number one spot for a single day, continuing to grow its audience. The film is expected to surpass the 2 million viewer mark this weekend.
Toy Story 5 follows the story of classic toys like Jessie, Woody, and Buzz as they reunite for an unpredictable journey after facing an unprecedented crisis with the introduction of Lilypad, a smart tablet that has become the new friend of their owner, Bonnie. Actors from the previous series, including Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, and Joan Cusack, have teamed up once again to provide the voices for Woody, Buzz, and Jessie.
