Yeo Esther and Hong Hye-geol shared their honest feelings for each other.
On the episode of SBS's 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny' (hereinafter 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2') that aired on the 30th, the daily life of the couple Yeo Esther and Hong Hye-geol was featured.
In the episode, the two revealed their lives after moving back in together, ending five years of living apart. Notably, Hong Hye-geol drew attention for his efforts to help his wife, who has been struggling with depression, step out into the world.
Hong prepared a barbecue party in the front yard for his wife. However, he forgot the exact side dish she had been craving, which left Yeo feeling disappointed.
Furthermore, when the meat was grilled, Hong took care of their pet dog before his wife. Eventually, Yeo expressed her frustration, saying, "Didn't you prepare this for me? You should take care of me before the dog."
Despite this, Hong continued to prioritize the dog, leaving viewers feeling frustrated as well.
Ultimately, Yeo expressed her disappointment in her husband for not listening to her, remarking, "It feels like you live in your own world."
In response, Hong admitted, "I am a bit scattered. I have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)." Yeo replied, "Even with ADHD, I would remember what my husband likes. But you forget things the moment they are out of your sight."
Yeo continued, "Honestly, when you said you were moving back in last August, I felt burdened. But after a month or two, I started to feel empty when you weren't around," she confessed.
Hong responded, "That is the joy of being a married couple. People think I am the luckiest man in the world, but honestly, I haven't been that happy over the past seven or eight years. Because you were in so much pain and suffering," confessing that he, too, was in pain because of his wife's struggles.
Yeo shared the happiness she feels now that they are living together again, saying, "I think it's nice when we sit across from each other and talk while having breakfast."
Hong then asked, "You don't have those dark thoughts anymore, right?" Yeo reassured him, saying, "I feel like I can live now. Since you moved back in August, those dark thoughts have disappeared since October. It's been almost 10 years, so I feel like I can finally live."
Hong expressed his sincere feelings, saying, "If I pay more warm attention to my wife and treat her well, won't she regain her vitality and be able to live until she is 80, 90, or 100? I want to live by her side like an old grandfather, acting cute. I don't want to live apart anymore."
Yeo made viewers smile by saying, "I promise. I will never do anything strange again. I am good at keeping my promises."
