The Korea Meteorological Administration reported, citing foreign observation agencies, that a 6.0 magnitude earthquake occurred 156 km west of Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico, at approximately 4:45 a.m. on July 1 (KST).

The epicenter was located at 24.82 degrees north latitude and 108.93 degrees west longitude, with a focal depth of 10 km.
