Actor Ji Seung-hyun has graced the Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF IV) for the second year in a row.

The 4th Da Nang Asian Film Festival, which kicked off on June 28, is an international event that highlights the artistry and creativity of Asian cinema, drawing filmmakers from around the world.

Following his first visit to the festival last year, Ji returned this year with two films, "Herring" and "Veranda," both selected as official invitations, allowing him to reconnect with local Vietnamese audiences.

On the first day of the festival, Ji walked the opening ceremony red carpet with the team from the film "Herring," soaking in the festival atmosphere. He attended the premiere of "Herring," which was invited to the Asian In-Competition section, met with the audience, and shared various stories about the project through interviews with local media.

"Herring" is a feature film co-produced by four countries—South Korea, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Indonesia. It tells the story of a woman who delivers milk and has lost her voice, and a drifter with a violent past, as they heal each other's wounds and find hope in life through their encounter. Ji plays the role of Gwang-su, delivering a performance marked by deep emotional resonance and restraint.

Furthermore, "Herring" was first unveiled to global buyers at the 30th Hong Kong International Film & TV Market (FILMART), garnering attention from the international film industry even before its domestic release. The film is also scheduled to be screened at the 9th Malaysia International Film Festival, which opens on July 18, continuing its journey with international audiences. Meanwhile, the film "Veranda" is currently in post-production, aiming for a release in the second half of the year.
