An absurd delivery scene has been captured in the United States, sparking controversy.

A delivery vehicle arrives in front of a house in Indiana, USA.

Instead of using the driveway, the vehicle drives straight onto the lawn.

It cuts across the yard, which had just been mowed, drives up to the front door, drops off the package, and leaves as if nothing happened. Deep tire tracks were left in the wake of the vehicle.

The homeowner, who checked the CCTV footage later, could not hide their bewilderment.

The delivery company has stated that it will restore the damaged lawn.
