A heatwave advisory was issued yesterday (June 29) for the Seoul metropolitan area and the Chungcheong region.
Today, daytime temperatures in Seoul, Yeoju in Gyeonggi Province, and Cheongju, which are under the advisory, are expected to climb to 33°C (91°F).
Due to high humidity, the perceived temperature will feel slightly higher.
Please take extra care of your health in this heat.
Between this afternoon and evening, scattered showers ranging from 5 to 40mm are expected in inland areas, including Seoul.
When it is not raining, strong sunlight will shine through the clouds.
In the afternoon, ozone levels will also rise, so please be mindful of your respiratory health.
Temperatures will remain similar to yesterday.
Seoul will start the morning at 22°C (72°F), with daytime highs reaching 33°C (91°F) in Seoul and 32°C (90°F) in Daegu.
On Wednesday, the first day of July, rain is forecast to begin in Jeju and along the southern coast.
Heavy rain of around 100mm is expected in Jeju on that day, so please prepare accordingly.
