Ok-soon and Sang-chul, who met on the Season 19 "Never-Dated" special of the SBS PLUS and ENA show "I Am Solo," have shared updates on their upcoming wedding. Ok-soon, in particular, warmed hearts by revealing that she recently donated hematopoietic stem cells before her marriage.
On the June 26 live broadcast of the YouTube channel "Chonjang Entertainment," hosted by Season 9's Ok-soon, Season 19 "Never-Dated" special participants Ok-soon, Season 10's Young-ja, and Season 10's Jung-sook appeared to share their latest news.
During the broadcast, when asked about the bandage on her neck, Ok-soon explained, "I recently underwent a procedure to donate hematopoietic stem cells." She added, "I registered to donate hematopoietic stem cells about 17 to 18 years ago. I hadn't heard anything since then, but I was recently contacted and went through with the donation. I am wearing a bandage for protection as it hasn't been long since the procedure." The host, Season 9's Ok-soon, applauded her, saying, "You did such a wonderful thing."

Ok-soon and Sang-chul, who met on the 2024 "I Am Solo" Season 19 "Never-Dated" special, did not choose each other in the final selection. However, they garnered attention by revealing about four months after the show ended that they had become a real-life couple. Since then, the two have been in a public relationship and recently announced their upcoming wedding, receiving many congratulations.
Ok-soon revealed that she and Sang-chul have been dating for 943 days, expressing their unwavering affection by saying, "We don't have major conflicts, and even if we do, we resolve them right away. We don't fight for long, and whoever is at fault tends to say 'I'm sorry' first, so it never lasts. Even if it looks like we might fight, we apologize to each other quickly. We are the type to say, 'I'm sorry,' and 'No, I'm more sorry.'"
The couple has nurtured their love through dates at cafes and camping trips in the suburbs. Regarding Sang-chul's recent weight gain ahead of the wedding, Ok-soon explained, "I like late-night snacks and treats, so I keep asking him to eat with me. If I ask him to buy me something I want to eat, Sang-chul buys it all, and if I leave some behind, he eats it because he doesn't want to waste it. He has gained a little weight, but not as much as it looks in photos; he's just a bit heavier than before."
Ok-soon emphasized that they have set their wedding date for this coming November due to their busy schedules, stating, "Sang-chul proposed first. It wasn't anything grand like giving a ring or kneeling. We were talking about marriage naturally, and he said, 'Isn't it time for us to get married?' and 'I want to do it with you,' so I replied, 'I'd like that too.' I'm not really into those kinds of events anyway."

Finally, Ok-soon added, "We plan to hold the wedding in Gijang, Busan, and we are still looking for a home for our newlywed life. I have to continue working in Busan, so we will set up a home there, and since Sang-chul's job requires a lot of travel, it looks like he will be commuting to and from Busan."
