A private aircraft crashed near Nancy in northeastern France around noon local time today, leaving all 11 people on board dead.

According to local authorities, the victims include the pilot, five skydiving instructors, and five participants, BFM TV reported.

Thierry Peche, president of a local association of private nurses, told the media, "The victims appear to be private nurses."

"It seems they were scheduled for their first trial flight today," he explained.

The exact cause of the accident and the identities of the victims have not yet been determined.

Police have urged local residents to avoid the area near the crash site to facilitate the recovery efforts.
