At approximately 1:59 p.m. today (June 28), emergency services received a report that two children had been trapped under a passenger car at an apartment complex in Jigok-myeon, Seosan, South Chungcheong Province.

Fire authorities rescued two 8-year-old boys from the scene and transported them to a nearby hospital.

One of the children was in cardiac arrest upon arrival at the hospital, and the other is reported to have sustained serious injuries.

The police are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident based on the situation at the scene.
