Warning Labels on the Front of Liquor Bottles Starting This November

Starting this November, warning labels about the dangers of alcohol consumption will be placed on the front center of bottles for beer, soju, makgeolli, whiskey, wine, and other alcoholic beverages we typically consume.

This is because the Ministry of Health and Welfare has established new enforcement rules and notifications under the National Health Promotion Act, aiming to improve public health.

While warning labels are already present on the back of liquor bottles, the Ministry appears to believe that current measures are far from sufficient.

Consumers and liquor manufacturers are expressing significant dissatisfaction.

Video Mug has examined the various voices on this issue and whether the policy will truly be effective.
