Scorching Heat Continues Nationwide; 'Very Unhealthy' Ozone Levels Expected in Western Regions

Scorching heat is continuing across the country.

Daytime temperatures in Seoul and Daejeon are expected to climb to 32°C (90°F), making it hotter than yesterday.

The ultraviolet index will be at a very high level nationwide, and in some parts of South Jeolla Province, it is expected to soar to the highest level, which is considered dangerous.

During the afternoon, ozone concentrations in western regions are also expected to reach levels ranging from unhealthy to very unhealthy.

It is best to minimize outdoor activities.

Skies across the country will remain clear throughout the day today.

Looking at detailed daytime temperatures, Cheongju and Jeonju will see highs of up to 31°C (88°F), while coastal areas along the East Sea will remain relatively cool due to the influence of easterly winds.

Tomorrow, rain showers are expected to pass through Incheon, northern Gyeonggi Province, and the northern inland areas of Gangwon Province.
