Senegal dominated Iraq in the North and Central American World Cup qualifiers, moving ahead of South Korea to take third place in the group.

Senegal took an early lead in the 4th minute with a goal from Diarra and gained a numerical advantage nine minutes later following the expulsion of Iraq's Sulaka.

After scoring four more goals in the second half, Senegal defeated Iraq 5-0 to secure third place in Group I.

While Senegal is tied with South Korea at 3 points, they hold a better goal difference, giving them a more favorable position for the Round of 32. Hong Myung-bo's squad, which must finish within the top 8 among the 12 third-place teams, has dropped to 7th place, making their path to the Round of 32 more difficult.

Tournament favorite France defeated Norway, led by a hat-trick from Dembele, to secure first place in Group I.
