At approximately 8:08 a.m. today (June 26), a 9-year-old girl, identified as A, fell from the rooftop of an elementary school in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province, onto a flower bed below.

Following the accident, the student is currently receiving medical treatment for injuries to her chest and legs.

Police believe that the student, who had arrived at school early, went up to the rooftop alone.

A police official stated, "At this stage, it does not appear that school violence or similar issues were involved," adding, "We plan to investigate the exact circumstances of the incident."
