Eight Additional South Korean Vessels Pass Through Strait of Hormuz; Five Remain

Amid these developments, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries announced that eight more South Korean vessels that had been stranded in the Strait of Hormuz have successfully passed through the strait and are currently underway.

There are 37 South Korean crew members aboard these vessels, and one of the ships is bound for South Korea.

Excluding the vessels that have now passed through, there are currently five South Korean ships remaining inside the strait.

The total number of South Korean crew members currently within the strait is 47, which includes 30 individuals serving on foreign-flagged vessels.
