As it turns out, the incident was a crime that exploited a job posting, raising concerns among users of the platform.

A man in his 30s, identified as A, approached a victim after seeing a post on Danggeun seeking someone to clean a bathroom in an apartment.

He visited an apartment in Hwado-eup, Namyangju, under the guise of doing the cleaning job, then lured the woman in her 30s who was inside the home into the bathroom and threatened her with a weapon.

When the victim resisted strongly, A fled the scene and was apprehended by police in Seoul about 6 hours later.

The victim reportedly sustained injuries to her neck and arms, but they are not considered life-threatening.

The police are investigating the possibility of robbery or sexual assault and plan to request an arrest warrant for A, upgrading the charges from special intimidation to attempted special robbery.
