A suspect has been caught after a series of vehicle break-ins in Paju.

The man specifically targeted vehicles with side mirrors that were not folded in to steal cash and valuables before fleeing the scene.

Drivers are advised to ensure their vehicles are properly locked.

According to the police, more than three reports have been filed recently in the Paju area regarding cash and valuables stolen from inside parked cars.

Launching an investigation, police secured footage from vehicle dashcams to identify the suspect. It was confirmed that the individual had a prior criminal record for similar offenses.

Investigations revealed that the perpetrator deliberately chose vehicles with side mirrors that were left unfolded.

Police tracked the suspect's movements after identifying that he frequently visited a specific villa, and they apprehended him while he was heading toward the area near that building.

With theft crimes targeting vehicles that have not had their side mirrors folded in on the rise, police have urged the public to take extra care in locking their car doors.
