The family of a middle school student who reported school bullying has been left in shock after receiving threatening messages from an unknown sender, warning of "sexual assault" and an "acid attack."

Since yesterday, June 24, public outrage has been growing following a post on a social media platform detailing how a parent living in Sejong City is being threatened by an individual suspected to be linked to the perpetrators of the bullying.

The father of the second-year middle school victim, identified as A, stated, "My daughter suffered from school bullying for an entire year before we finally reported it to the Sejong City Office of Education," adding that the case has been officially filed.

According to A, just days after the report was filed, his wife received a text message containing horrific threats.

The message read, "I will sexually assault your daughter and throw acid on her face. Just wait and see if I do it or not."

"My child, who was already struggling with school bullying, is now suffering from secondary victimization," A said, expressing his devastation.

The case is currently under investigation by the Sejong Nambu Police Station.

However, A expressed his anguish, stating, "I was told that it is difficult to identify the culprit because the message was sent via an overseas server."

Speculation has since emerged that the person who sent the threatening messages could be a parent or acquaintance of the students involved in the bullying.

In response, the police stated, "We are currently conducting an investigation, and the suspect who sent the messages has not yet been identified."
