Hollywood star Tom Cruise has teamed up with Mexican maestro Alejandro González Iñárritu, an Academy Award-winning director.

The film 'Digger'—which has piqued curiosity since its production stage due to the novel pairing of Tom Cruise and Alejandro González Iñárritu, as well as its veiled title—is finally set to meet audiences this coming fall.

Three posters released on June 24 stimulate curiosity, featuring the title 'Digger' engraved over Tom Cruise's silhouette along with the phrase, "One man. His plan. And a disaster."

Another poster, featuring Tom Cruise striking a playful pose alongside the phrase "Tom Cruise is Digger," exudes a unique vibe, raising anticipation for what kind of performance and story Cruise will deliver in the role of 'Digger.'

A special video released alongside the posters, titled "God-saeng" (exemplary life) Tom Cruise, adds to the excitement by showcasing a panoramic montage of iconic scenes from Cruise's numerous hit films that audiences have loved over the years. This is followed by the line, "Everything you are, everything you've done, has led to this," teasing a complete transformation for Tom Cruise in 'Digger' and further heightening curiosity.

'Digger' is the latest work by director Alejandro González Iñárritu, who swept global critics and award ceremonies for two consecutive years with 'Birdman'—which won Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Cinematography at the 87th Academy Awards while being nominated in five other categories including Best Actor—and 'The Revenant'—which won Best Actor, Best Director, and Best Cinematography at the 88th Academy Awards while being nominated in nine other categories including Best Picture.

Beloved by many fans for his unique direction that delivers dramatic immersion and his original perspective on character narratives and human nature, attention is focused on what kind of story and world Iñárritu will build around the new character 'Digger.'

In particular, anticipation is already high for the powerful synergy that will result from his collaboration with Tom Cruise, who has been widely loved for explosive action blockbusters like the 'Mission: Impossible' series and 'Top Gun: Maverick.'
