Police have launched an investigation into the death of a worker who fell while painting the exterior of a building in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province.

At approximately 2:40 p.m. yesterday (June 23), a man in his 70s, identified as A, fell from a height equivalent to the second floor while working from an aerial work platform at a four-story villa in Cheoin-gu, Yongin.

A sustained severe injuries, including to his face, and was transported to a hospital but ultimately passed away.

Police believe that A fell into the gap between the vehicle's basket and the building's exterior wall while preparing for work. They are currently investigating the exact circumstances of the accident by questioning fellow workers and others involved.
