Another Accident Involving Elderly Driver in Busan: 4-Vehicle Collision on Uphill Road

Traffic accident involving an elderly driver in Saha-gu, BusanJust one day after a fatal accident involving a driver in their 70s left two people dead in Busan, another elderly driver has been involved in a traffic accident and is currently under police investigation.

According to the Busan Saha Police Station on Tuesday (June 23), a passenger car driven by a person in their 70s rolled backward on an uphill road in Saha-gu at approximately 6:30 p.m. yesterday (June 22), striking four vehicles, including a motorcycle and other passenger cars.

The accident left a motorcyclist in their 20s with serious injuries, while two drivers of the other passenger cars sustained minor injuries.

The driver in their 70s told police that the engine stalled, the brakes failed to function, and the vehicle rolled backward, leading to the collision.

On June 21, a separate accident occurred on a road in Daeyeon-dong, Nam-gu, Busan, when a car driven by a person in their 70s struck four pedestrians on the sidewalk, resulting in the deaths of a woman in her 40s and a woman in her 70s.
