Woman in Her 40s Arrested for Spitting on Police Officer at Jamsil Vote Counting Site

A protester has been arrested by police after spitting on an officer at a vote counting site in Jamsil.
The Seoul Songpa Police Station announced that it apprehended a woman in her 40s, identified as A, at approximately 10:20 a.m. today (June 23) in front of gates 1-5 of the Olympic Park Handball Gymnasium in Seoul. The suspect allegedly asked an officer on duty for their name before spitting on them and hurling verbal abuse.
It is reported that A insulted the officer's family while claiming she wanted to verify if they were indeed a member of the Korean police.
The police, who arrested A in the act, are currently investigating the specific circumstances surrounding the incident.
