So Ji-sub Kneels Before Joo Sang-wook for His Daughter: First Intense Confrontation Revealed in 'Agent Kim Reactivated'

So Ji-sub and Joo Sang-wook have teased an intense first confrontation in the upcoming drama Agent Kim Reactivated.

On June 15, SBS's upcoming Friday-Saturday drama Agent Kim Reactivated (written by Nam Dae-jung, directed by Lee Seung-young and Lee So-eun), which premieres on June 26, released "faculty office confrontation" still cuts. The images show the lead actor, So Ji-sub, kneeling sorrowfully in front of Joo Sang-wook to protect his daughter.

Agent Kim Reactivated is a "father-universe" revenge action drama about the "most ordinary" father who becomes the "most dangerous" man to rescue his only daughter. Based on the Naver webtoon of the same name, the series has been highly anticipated since its production stages.

In the drama, So Ji-sub plays Manager Kim, an ordinary employee at a small savings bank who is secretly a former secret agent with a history of executing countless special operations. He is set to deliver his signature powerful action and deep paternal love. Facing off against him is Joo Sang-wook as Ju Kang-chan, an absolute power-holder who started as a low-level hired thug and rose to become the chairman of Juhak Construction. Joo Sang-wook is taking on his first-ever intense villain role in his acting career.

The released stills capture the breathtaking first meeting of the two fathers. The tension rises as Ju Kang-chan's (played by Joo Sang-wook) daughter, Ju Hye-ri (played by Yoo Ji-an), threatens to convene a School Violence Committee against Manager Kim's (played by So Ji-sub) daughter, Minji (played by Seo Su-min). In response, Manager Kim casts aside all his pride in front of his daughter, kneeling before Ju Kang-chan with a sorrowful expression to beg for mercy.

On the other hand, Ju Kang-chan, who has seized control of the school with his immense wealth and power, looks down at the kneeling Manager Kim with a cold gaze, exuding a heavy presence. True to the tagline, "A father needs no pride when it comes to his daughter," curiosity is mounting over what kind of aftermath will be triggered by Manager Kim's desperate choice to prioritize his daughter's future over justice.

According to the production team, So Ji-sub and Joo Sang-wook completely immersed themselves in their respective characters as soon as filming began, drawing admiration from the crew. So Ji-sub delivered a heartbreaking portrayal of paternal love, while Joo Sang-wook countered with an untouchable charisma, heating up the atmosphere on set. The fateful clash between these two powerful men, who both hide their inner strength, is expected to maximize the drama's immersive experience.
