So Ji-sub & Son Na-eun Spotted in Unexpected 'Department Store Open Run' for 'Agent Kim Reactivated'

So Ji-sub and Son Na-eun of Agent Kim Reactivated have teased an unexpected chemistry in a surprise department store 'open run' scene.

Set to premiere on Friday, June 26, SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama Agent Kim Reactivated (written by Nam Dae-jung, directed by Lee Seung-young and Lee So-eun) is a "dad universe" revenge action drama about the "most ordinary" father who becomes the "most dangerous" man to rescue his only daughter.

So Ji-sub plays the role of Manager Kim, a seemingly ordinary employee at a small savings bank who is actually a former special ops agent. Son Na-eun stars as Sang-ah, a mysterious colleague who helps Manager Kim when he struggles with his relationship with his daughter. Together, they are set to showcase a unique, mutually supportive chemistry.

In the newly released stills on June 11, the stark contrast between the fashion-clueless "Ahjussi" style of Manager Kim and the trendsetting Gen Z style of Sang-ah is captured during their department store outing. Dressed in a standard formal suit, Manager Kim stands in sharp contrast to Sang-ah, who is decked out in dangling keyrings, revealing shopping philosophies that are as 180-degrees apart as their fashion choices.

In particular, the sight of Manager Kim looking utterly bewildered during his first-ever "open run" experience, contrasted with his sheer panic over the trendy items handpicked by Sang-ah, promises to bring plenty of laughs. It raises curiosity about what could possibly fluster Manager Kim, a man who always maintained his composure even on the roughest battlefields.

So Ji-sub and Son Na-eun delivered incredibly natural, slice-of-life acting in this scene. So Ji-sub portrays a hilariously realistic reaction, showing a man whose heart drops more at the "ding" of a credit card payment than the sound of bombs on a battlefield. Meanwhile, Son Na-eun flawlessly embodies Sang-ah, blending bubbly charm with sharp, hard-hitting remarks.

The production team shared, "So Ji-sub and Son Na-eun warmed up the set with their mutual consideration for one another. Please look forward to their performance, which will spark a very unique chemistry in Agent Kim Reactivated." They added, "This scene highlights their natural, everyday acting. Meanwhile, Agent Kim Reactivated is adapted from the Naver webtoon of the same name. It brings together writer Nam Dae-jung of the hit film Love Reset, director Lee Seung-young of the drama Wonderful World, and rookie director Lee So-eun. Taking over the time slot of My Royal Nemesis, the drama will premiere on Friday, June 26 at 9:50 PM KST.
