
The film "The King's Warden" has ruled the box office for two days in a row.
According to the Korean Film Council’s box office data on the 6th, "The King's Warden" drew 91,740 moviegoers nationwide on the 5th, bringing its total to 239,281.
Set in 1457 at Cheongnyeongpo, the movie follows the young, deposed former king Danjong―now in exile―and the villagers of Gwangcheongol who take him in. The cast includes Yoo Hae-jin, Park Ji-hoon, Yoo Ji-tae, and Jeon Mi-do.
Released on the 4th, the film pulled in 110,000 viewers on day one and 90,000 on day two, holding the No. 1 spot. It currently leads both ticket presales and booking share, signaling a strong weekend ahead.
At No. 2 on the box office chart is "THE DAY, DECEMBER 3, 2024 'Fabricated Insurrection, Hidden Truth'," which attracted 20,041 viewers on the same day.
