Kei of disbanded K-pop girl group Lovelyz has terminated her exclusive contract with PALMTREE ISLAND after nine months.

On September 27, PALMTREE ISLAND issued an official statement announcing that the agency has decided to part ways with Kei.
PALMTREE ISLAND stated, "After a long and careful discussion, our company and Kei decided to support each other's future in their respective places."

The agency added, "Kei will be greeting fans through various activities including singing. Although our time of working together is over, we will sincerely support Kei's future activities. Thank you."
PALMTREE ISLAND is an entertainment agency established by singer/musical actor Kim Jun Su (XIA), and it is the home to many musical artists including Kim So-hyun, Jung Sun-ah, and more.

This comes only after nine months since Kei signed an exclusive contract with the agency back in January.

Shortly after the news of Kei joining the agency, the singer swept up in groundless dating rumor with the company CEO, Kim Jun Su.
