Apparently, it won't be long before the American fans can hear BLACKPINK roar "BLACKPINK in your area" in real life.

On October 23, BLACKPINK's management agency YG Entertainment announced, "BLACKPINK recently signed with Interscope Records. YG and Interscope Records are planning on making BLACKPINK a universally-renowned artist."
The agency added, "Also, as YG Entertainment is perfectly aware of the ins and outs of Asia and Interscope Records too has its own field of expertise, both of us will share our experience and knowledge to proceed more global projects in the future."

Interscope Records is one of the biggest label of Universal Music Group(UMG), the world's leading music company.
Interscope Records has worked with many renowned artists from different genres including hip-hop musicians such as Dr. Dre, Tupac, Eminem, pop singers like Maroon 5 and Lady Gaga, and even EDM artists such as Zedd and DJ Snake.
On October 10, Lucian Grainge, the chairmain and the CEO of UMG stated at 'UMG Global Leadership Summit' that helping BLACKPINK to succeed in the United States is at the top of his priority list.
John Janick, the chairman of Interscope Records added, "BLACKPINK is the next up-and-coming superstar. What they bring to the table is quite unorthodox. I've never seen anything like that in pop music industry."
Yang Hyun Suk, the head of YG Entertainment also expressed excitement and said, "None of this could happen this fast if it wasn't for Lucian Grainge. I'll do everything I can to help BLACKPINK to make a successful debut and continue its music career. Also, I believe that this could be a great stepping stone for other YG artists to expand their horizons."

YG Entertainment's main producer TEDDY mentioned, "This is a good day for all of us. In this day and age, the act of providing entertainment is not limited to one's borders. Plus, music and true talent knows no culture or language. It surpasses everything."
The public's expectation towards BLACKPINK's next move is skyrocketing since the group not only became a K-pop sensation right after its debut, but also already gaining increasing popularity around the globe.

Six of BLACKPINK's official music video reached more than 100 million views, and of those six, two of them garnered more than 400 million viewers.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK will hold its first exclusive concert 'BLACKPINK 2018 TOUR 'IN YOUR AREA' SEOUL X BC CARD' in Korea on November 10 and 11 at KSPO DOME (Olympic Gymnastics Arena), Seoul.
