Jo Kwon, the leader of K-pop boy group 2AM announced the date of his enlistment.

On July 10, Jo Kwon's management agency CUBE Entertainment announced, "Jo Kwon will be enlisting in the military on August 6 as an active duty soldier. The exact location and time will not be announced, as Jo Kwon wants to enlist quietly."

Jo Kwon will start serving his 18-month mandatory duty as an active duty soldier from August 6.Debuted as the leader of 2AM in 2008, Jo Kwon is known to be one of the longest-trained K-pop group members, who spent about eight years at JYP Entertainment as a trainee before making debut.

Last November, Jo Kwon left JYP Entertainment and signed a contract with CUBE Entertainment.For the past several years, Jo Kwon has been actively performing in various musicals such as 'Jesus Christ Super Star', 'Priscilla', 'Evil Dead', and more.
