K-pop boy group SHINee's TAEMIN got emotional as he reunites with his longtime friend as a judge and a contestant.

On November 4 aired episode of 'The Unit', boy group HOTSHOT's member and TAEMIN's best friend Timoteo appeared on stage with his fellow member Hojeong.
The two members performed to EXO's 'Ko Ko Bop', and the captivated audiences gave the 'Super Boot' to them, allowing them to pass without the judges' votes.

After the stage, TAEMIN and Timoteo revealed their close friendship for more than 11 years.

Before debuting as HOTSHOT's member, Timoteo was once a trainee of SM Entertainment, where he trained with SHINee's TAEMIN and EXO's KAI.
He said, "My closest friend dreamt of becoming a singer after watching Rain's stage. I, on the other hand, also wanted to become a singer when I saw that friend dancing to Rain's songs. Now that I am able to perform in front of the two individuals and receive a good result, it makes me even happier."
When the program's host, Rain, gave TAEMIN a chance to say something to his friend Timoteo, TAEMIN burst into tears and said, "I'm sorry, I don't think I can do this".
Later he said, "I have never cried like this before. I kept on seeing Timoteo's struggle and wanted to support him. It was sad to see him not receiving the spotlight (that he deserves). Honestly, I was so nervous for him. I'm so proud of him."

TAEMIN also gave him advice as a judge, saying, "There were contestants who performed better than you two, so you still have to work hard. Try to be more natural."
