Areum, former member of K-pop girl group T-ARA recently made her media appearance and talked about her story behind her departure.

On October 29 aired episode of KBS 'The Unit', Areum went on stage as one of the contestants for the idol rebooting program.

When she was asked about her T-ARA days, Areum frankly opened up about the controversies and rumors that were surrounding her in the past.

Areum said, "I can't say they(the controversies) are completely false. Even family members fight, you know."

Then she continued, "At that time, members were young, and I was even younger. If there was trouble, it was minor ones that could easily happen within a family."
Areum also talked about rumors that she was possessed, saying, "It was just a photo of my Halloween makeover I posted online. But I do started developing social phobia during my last T-ARA days. I was so scared of people. They all looked like monsters to me. I stayed at a mental hospital for about a month to recuperate my symptoms. I'm okay now."
Meanwhile, Areum joined 'The Unit' as one of the contestants, to give her a second chance to 'reboot' her potential as an idol star.
