K-pop girl group BLACKPINK takes #1 on Japan's most prestigious music charts.
On August 29, BLACKPINK's Japanese mini-album topped as #1 at Oricon's Daily Album Chart by selling 21,583 copies on the first day of its release.

Also the album ranked as a #1 sales list at Tower Records, one of the biggest record retails in Japan.
  The album includes BLACKPINK's hit songs, 'WHISTLE' 'BOOMBAYAH' 'Playing with Fire' 'STAY' and 'As If It's Your Last' in both Korean and Japanese.

Prior to the album release, BLACKPINK successfully held its debut showcase at Nippon Budokan, Tokyo on July where more than 14,000 fans attended.
