Haru Lee, the daughter of Epik High member Tablo, is making headlines after being credited as the sole lyricist for the group RIIZE's upcoming song.
On June 8, Tablo answered fans' questions regarding Haru Lee's participation in lyric writing through a fan communication platform. When a fan asked, "It's amazing that she is the sole lyricist for RIIZE's title track. I heard SM does blind evaluations," Tablo replied, "Yes, that's how it was selected."
Accordingly, it has been revealed that Haru Lee's credit as the sole lyricist for "Do Your Dance," the title track of RIIZE's second mini-album 'II' (Two), which is set to be released on June 16, was indeed the result of a blind evaluation process.
Haru Lee previously received immense love when she appeared on KBS 2TV's 'The Return of Superman' alongside Tablo. She is reportedly preparing to enter a university in the United States.
Previously, Haru Lee also participated in writing the lyrics for the girl group KiiiKiii's song "To Me From Me." Known to be fluent in both Korean and English, she has been recognized for her outstanding language skills since childhood.
Haru Lee is also known to have an extraordinary love for K-pop. In 2023, Tablo appeared on singer Kim Jae-joong's YouTube show and shared, "Haru really loves BTS, Stray Kids, and SEVENTEEN."
At the time, Tablo joked, "Because of my daughter, I know a lot of idol songs. The amount of money I spend on K-pop is massive." He brought laughter by adding, "There are so many different versions of albums. Haru likes so many groups, so she keeps buying albums. I'm on the verge of going broke."
Tablo is widely known as the "poet of the hip-hop scene" for his exceptional linguistic talent. Having earned a Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing and a Master's degree in English Literature from Stanford University, Tablo has also been active as an author, publishing the short story collection 'Pieces of You' and the essay collection 'Blo Note'.
RIIZE will release their second mini-album 'II' on June 16 and make their comeback with the title track "Do Your Dance."
