Overnight, Wall Street plunged, led by semiconductor stocks. As concerns that the Democratic Party would tighten regulations on the AI industry turned into panic, the Nasdaq plummeted 5.5% and the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index nosedived by more than 12%.

Wall Street, which had rejoiced over the Democratic Party's landslide victory, froze just a day later.
The tech-heavy Nasdaq, centered around semiconductors and big tech, plummeted by more than 5%.
Compared to the all-time high recorded in early October, it has dropped by more than 10% over the course of a month.
The S&P 500 fell by more than 4%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped by over 1,800 points.
This wiped out all the gains made the day after the midterm elections.
All three major New York stock indexes recorded their largest single-day drop since April of last year, when President Trump announced tariff policies.
Selling pressure was heavily concentrated on semiconductor stocks.
Nvidia fell by over 9%, and SanDisk, which manufactures memory semiconductors for AI data centers, nosedived by a staggering 20% or more.
In addition, Micron plummeted 17%, dragging down the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index—which tracks the stock prices of major semiconductor companies—by more than 12% in the wake of the fallout.
U.S. media reported that approximately 3 trillion dollars—surpassing 4,000 trillion won—was wiped out from the U.S. stock market in just a single day.
Analysts suggest that investor sentiment froze sharply due to forecasts that the Democratic Party, which has gained control of both the House and the Senate, will 본격적으로 (in earnest) begin regulating data centers.
Concerns are growing that if brakes are put on data center construction, demand for AI semiconductors could also weaken.

With Wall Street plummeting overnight, the domestic stock market today (November 6) is expected to face considerable impact, centered around semiconductor stocks.
