An SUV suddenly sped forward as it was exiting the parking lot of a building in Guwol-dong, Namdong-gu, Incheon, around 12:45 p.m. today (Nov. 5).
The accident resulted in the death of a woman in her 70s who was walking on the street, while another woman in her 70s sustained serious injuries.
Authorities found that the vehicle, driven by a woman in her 30s identified as A, crossed an eight-lane road before crashing into a wall on the opposite side.
Police confirmed that driver A was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
Police are currently investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the accident with driver A.
