Actor Jung Woo-sung is transforming into Han Myeong-hoe.

Production company Film Chaeum announced on November 5 that the film "The Hit List" (directed by Kim Hong-sun) has finalized its main cast—including Jung Woo-sung, Jung Sung-il, Baek Yoon-sik, Wi Ha-jun, Choi Gwi-hwa, and Park Ji-hwan—and officially commenced filming.

"The Hit List" is a hard-boiled, bloody historical action film centering on Han Myeong-hoe (played by Jung Woo-sung), the supreme ruler of Joseon who seized power through blood; Baek Lee-hwa, who lost everything to him and became Yagwi, the incarnation of vengeance; and Jang Gil-do, Han Myeong-hoe's right-hand man and Joseon's greatest warrior. The film is based on the webtoon of the same name, which surpassed 120 million cumulative views.

Jung Woo-sung takes on the role of Han Myeong-hoe, who seized absolute power after a bloody purge. Combining cool-headed strategy with formidable martial prowess, and stopping at no sacrifice in the pursuit of power, the actor plans to showcase a new, unseen side of himself through this ruthless character.

Jung Sung-il has been cast as Ban-seok, who harbors a deep grudge against Han Myeong-hoe and prepares for revenge. He ramps up the tension as a character who puts a meticulous plan into action alongside the secret organization Hwajeopmong to bring down Han Myeong-hoe.

Baek Yoon-sik portrays Ji-hak, a blacksmith who once made a name for himself as Joseon's greatest warrior and the mentor who raised Baek Moo-han (played by Choi Moo-sung), Joseon's current top warrior.

Additionally, Wi Ha-jun (Grand Prince Suyang), Choi Gwi-hwa (Yoon Gyeom), Park Ji-hwan (Park Paeng-nyeon), Choi Moo-sung (Baek Moo-han), Ko Chang-seok (Kim Jong-seo), Jo Bok-rae (Yu Hyeol-mok), Choi Daniel (Seong Sam-mun), Hyun Bong-sik (No Gwang), and Lee Sung-wook (Ha Wi-ji) have joined the cast, adding significant weight to the drama. The casting for the key roles of Baek Lee-hwa and Jang Gil-do has not yet been disclosed.

Director Kim Hong-sun, who previously directed "The Con Artists" and "Project Wolf Hunting", is helming the project. The film is currently in production targeting a theatrical release next year.
